Runners up in the LJC “My Jimoto” essay contest.

In this post we’d like to present the runners up in the LJC “My Jimoto” essay contest.

These are both great essays and our judges graded them quite highly.

First, the second place runner-up, “A Place to Call Home” by Sherilyn Siy. This essay gained 115/150 points from our judges.

Next is the third place runner-up: “Hometown’ in Japan” by Onyejelem Perpetual Onyedikachi.  This essay gained 109/150 points from our judges.

We hope you enjoyed the runner-up essays.  It certainly was a tough choice for our five judges to decide on which best conveyed the essence of “My Jimoto” and we believe these essays portrayed that essence well.
